Check why a contact or company didn't sync to your CRM

Open the CRM sync history of one contact or company from its Activities tab: what synced, in which direction, the status, and the full error reason.

You can see the full CRM sync history of a single contact or company directly from its panel. Each sync between lemlist and your CRM is listed with its direction, its status and, when it failed, the full reason. You don't need to search the team-wide logs in Settings to find one record.

Limitations

  • The CRM logs filter only appears if your team has a connected CRM.

  • The list of sync actions you can filter on comes from your connected CRM.

  • When the CRM logs filter is on, the feed shows CRM logs only. Your other activities are not shown.

Phase 1: Open the CRM sync history of a record

  1. Open the contact panel or the company panel and go to the Activities tab.

  2. Click the filter icon next to Add.

  3. Click Add a filter, then select CRM logs.

✅ Verify: the CRM logs All synced, All status filter appears above the feed, and the feed lists the record's sync history, most recent first.

Phase 2: Read each sync line

Each line shows:

  • What happened, in plain words. For example: Activity creation, Experience update, or Association from company.

  • The direction: lemlist → CRM or CRM → lemlist.

  • The status: Done, Error, Pending or Aborted.

  • When it happened.

In the company panel, association lines name both sides: which contact was linked to the company or unlinked from it.

Phase 3: Open a line to see the details

  1. Click a line to open it.

  2. Review the fields that were written to the CRM, then the outcome.

For an error, every reason is shown in readable words, not only the first one. For example, a contact can fail on an invalid picklist option and on a duplicate LinkedIn URL at the same time: both reasons are listed.

Phase 4: Narrow the list

You can narrow the CRM logs by sync action and by status, the same way as in Settings.

  1. Click All synced in the CRM logs filter to choose the sync actions to show.

  2. Click All status to choose the statuses to show.

Practical example

A sales rep asks why a contact is not in the CRM. Instead of searching the team-wide logs, you open the contact panel, filter Activities on CRM logs, and narrow the status to errors. You open the most recent line in error and see two reasons: an invalid picklist option and a duplicate LinkedIn URL. You now know both things to fix before the contact can sync.

The same view lets you check that a field update was pushed to the CRM and with which value, or follow a company's associations over time when contacts move from one account to another.

Troubleshooting

Issue: The CRM logs filter is not in the Add a filter menu

Root cause: Your team has no connected CRM.

Fix: Connect a CRM to your team. The CRM logs filter appears once a CRM is connected.

Issue: My other activities disappeared from the feed

Root cause: The CRM logs filter is on. When it is on, the feed shows CRM logs only.

Fix: Remove the CRM logs filter to see the other activities again.
