Hello lemlister!
Below are common scenarios for syncing data between lemlist and HubSpot, along with troubleshooting solutions:
π From lemlist to Hubspot:
If you're starting with lemlist (from lemlist to HubSpot) and have the option to create leads in the CRM activated, here's what you need to know.
π If you're importing my leads from Linkedin or Sales Navigator through the Chrome extension:
When importing leads from LinkedIn or Sales Navigator through the Chrome extension, lemlist will automatically recognize the fields scraped from LinkedIn, and those fields should be created in HubSpot automatically.
If you're unable to find them, make sure you've added them to your contact list. Here's how:
Go to "Contacts" in HubSpot and click on the desired list.
Click on "Actions" and select "Edit Columns."
In the opened sub-window, use the search bar to enter the keyword "lemlist."
All fields created by lemlist will be displayed here. Select the ones you want to add, and they will appear as columns in the list. You can also include these fields across all contact lists if needed, then save your changes. π
π If you're importing your leads from another source: CSV, manually, by API etc.
If you're importing leads from other sources, such as CSV files, manual entry, or via API, the fields are unknown to lemlist.
To successfully map this data to HubSpot, you need to create those fields in HubSpot. This allows us to map the data accurately.
Example:
Suppose you're importing a CSV with a field called DataSource
. To map and populate this field in HubSpot, you need to create a custom field in HubSpot and in lemlist's Hubspot section too.
The field must be created under the Contact section. Once set up, the imported data in lemlist will be mapped to the custom fields in HubSpot.
π In case I import my leads directly from Hubspot
If you import your leads directly from HubSpot, lemlist will retrieve the following fields by default:
First name
Last name
Company name
Email
Phone number
Mobile phone number
Country/Region
State/Region
City
Job title
Salutation
Gender
Website URL
Any other custom variables you create can also be imported, as long as they're in the Contact section.
How do I create my custom variable in HubSpot?
You can create your custom variable "My_awesome_variable" in HubSpot and the variable will appear in lemlist.ο»Ώ
Then you can choose the single row or multiple-row option:
Make sure you don't exceed 400 characters in a multiple-line field.
At the end, click on "Create" at the bottom of the page.
Then you can use this new custom variable on your leads.
π‘ It's really important that you make sure to add as columns in your list, the fields that you want imported in your lemlist campaign.
For example in the screenshot below, if I had not added the field "STATE/REGION" as a column in my list, it would not be pulled in my lemlist campaign:
