How to reorder the steps in my campaign?

Updated this week

Sometimes, after setting up your campaign sequence, you might realize you want to change the order of your steps — maybe test a different flow, move your LinkedIn step earlier, or adjust the timing between actions.

Now you can easily reorder steps in your campaign with a simple drag-and-drop — no need to delete or rebuild your sequence. 🙌

🪄 How to reorder steps

  1. Open your campaign in Edit mode.

  2. Hover over the step you want to move.

  3. Click and hold the drag icon that appears on the left side.

  4. Drag the step to your preferred position.

  5. Release the step — your campaign will update instantly.

⚙️ How timing adjusts automatically

To keep things consistent, lemlist automatically updates waiting times when you move steps:

  • If you move a step to the first position, its waiting time changes to “immediately.”

  • If you move a step from the first position to another place, the delay resets to 1 day by default.

This helps ensure your campaign runs smoothly without overlapping steps or delays.

🔁 Reordering condition steps

You can also move condition steps (like “If opened” or “If replied”) just like any other step!
This gives you full flexibility to adjust your flow before launching — no more deleting or recreating conditional branches. 😍

💡 Pro tip

Experiment with different step orders to see what drives the most replies or engagement.
Small changes in sequence can often make a big impact on performance!
