In this article, you'll learn:

  1. The different permission settings for users in lemlist

  2. Admin roles who are the only people to have access to billing & user settings

  3. How to give reports-only access to specific users or your agency clients

Roles in lemlist let you decide what level of access a user can have in your account. You can choose from the following roles and permission sets:

  • Admin - has full access to lemlist

  • Member - can do everything, but can't access billing and high-level stuff

  • Extern - can only view reports and modify their settings

How to assign roles

To assign roles, go to Settings. On the left, you'll notice the list of all users in your team in lemlist. Click on the user of your choice and choose their role. Of course, only Admins can do this.

If you want to invite a new user, by default, they will have the Member role. It's up to you to decide if you want to give them the Admin rights.

To get this done, Go to Settings > Add a user > Tick [Administrator].

To give report-only access, you will repeat the same process, only this time you will switch to Extern. You need to tick the box - Allow passwordless login.

This user will then be able to see campaign reports, their user settings, and connect their email provider, but nothing else.

If you don't allow passwordless login, this user can only connect their email provider, but they won't be able to log in to lemlist at all.

This can be useful if you're an agency or an individual running outreach campaigns for clients and want to use their email as the Sender email, but stop them from accessing your lemlist account.

Keep in mind that Extern users will have that role forever. We don't support the switch from Extern to Member or Admin.

That's it. :)
