If you need to connect Lusha to lemlist with your own API key, this article walks you through the exact setup flow shown in the product. You’ll open your settings, start the Lusha connection from Integrations, and paste your key into lemlist. This article covers the manual API-key setup only.
Limitations
This article applies only to the Lusha flow that asks for a Lusha API key.
If your workspace uses the newer Lusha activation flow, you will not paste an API key here.
Prerequisites
You need access to Settings in your lemlist workspace.
You need a valid Lusha API key from your Lusha account.
Core lesson
Phase 1: Open your settings
Open Settings from your profile menu.
Click your profile name in the lower-left corner, then click Settings. This opens the page where you can manage integrations.
Phase 2: Start the Lusha connection
Open Integrations and click Connect for Lusha.
In the left sidebar, click Integrations. In the Integrations Marketplace, find Lusha and click Connect. This starts the Lusha API key setup flow.
Phase 3: Retrieve your API key and continue
Open your Lusha settings if needed, then continue.
In the Connect your Lusha API key window, click Open Lusha settings if you need to get your key from Lusha. Then click Next to move to the field where you can paste it.
Phase 4: Paste your key into lemlist
Paste your key into the Lusha API key field.
In Step 2/2, paste your key into the Lusha API key field. This is the field lemlist uses to connect your Lusha account.Click Add API key to lemlist.
After pasting your key, click Add API key to lemlist to finish the connection.✅ Verify: Lusha shows as connected in your Integrations settings.
Practical example
If your team uses the manual Lusha setup, you would click your profile name → Settings → Integrations, find Lusha in the Integrations Marketplace, click Connect, then paste your Lusha API key into the Lusha API key field and submit it.
Troubleshooting & pitfalls
Issue: You expected automatic activation, but you see Connect your Lusha API key
Root cause: Your workspace is using the manual Lusha API-key flow.

Get your key from Lusha with Open Lusha settings.
Paste it into the Lusha API key field in lemlist.
Issue: You clicked Connect, but you do not have a key to paste
Root cause: You have not copied your API key from your Lusha account yet.
In the setup window, click Open Lusha settings.
Copy your API key from Lusha.
Return to lemlist and paste it into Lusha API key.
Issue: The Add API key to lemlist button is unavailable
Root cause: The Lusha API key field is still empty or incomplete.
Paste the full key into the Lusha API key field.
Check that nothing is missing from the beginning or end of the key.
Try again once the field is fully populated.
Issue: You can open Integrations but do not see Lusha
Root cause: Your workspace may be using a different Lusha setup or may not have access to this integration flow.
Check whether your team is supposed to use the manual API-key setup.
