Use your connected apps in lemAgent conversations

Let lemAgent read from and act in Notion, Claap, and other MCP servers your team has connected, and choose which apps each conversation can use.

Beta: Using connected apps in lemAgent is in beta and is rolling out progressively. If your team doesn't have it yet, contact support to ask for access.

lemAgent can use the MCP servers your team has connected to lemlist. You can work across lemlist and apps such as Notion or Claap in one conversation, and choose which apps each conversation can use.

To connect a server to your team or choose which of its tools are allowed, see Connect an MCP server to lemlist and control its tool permissions.

Limitations

  • Using connected apps in lemAgent is in beta and is rolling out progressively.

  • Connected apps work in lemAgent and in lemAgent inside a campaign. You cannot use them in the People Database assistant.

  • Only admins can connect, edit, or remove servers. Members can use the apps the team has authorized.

  • lemAgent acts in a connected app with the account your team connected and that account's permissions, not with your own account.

  • What lemAgent can do in an app depends on the tools the server exposes and the tools your team allows.

  • Changes to the app selection apply from your next message.

Prerequisites

Admins can also connect another server directly from lemAgent.

Servers already connected to your team are reused, so members do not need to authenticate again to use them.

Core lesson

Phase 1: Open the Apps selector

  1. Open lemAgent.

From the left sidebar, click lemAgent, or open lemAgent inside a campaign.

  2. Click Apps beside the message field.

The selector lists the servers available in this conversation. A new conversation starts with all connected, available servers enabled.

Phase 2: Choose the apps for this conversation

  1. Enable or disable each server.

Disable an app you don't want lemAgent to use in this conversation.

  2. Send your next message.

The new selection applies from this message.

✅ Verify: open Apps again. The servers you disabled are no longer enabled.

The selection belongs to this conversation only:

  • When you reopen the conversation, it keeps its selection.

  • Other conversations keep their own selection.

  • Disabling an app here does not disconnect it from your team and does not change its use in AI columns.

Phase 3: Ask lemAgent to work with your apps

Describe the task in the message field. Depending on the tools and permissions, lemAgent can retrieve information from a connected app, create or update content in it, and combine that with actions in lemlist.

Example prompts:

  • "Get our positioning document from Notion and use it to prepare a campaign for HR leaders."

  • "Use the summary of my last call with Acme in Claap to draft a follow-up campaign."

  • "Save the brief for this campaign in Notion."

Practical example

You want a campaign that matches your company's positioning, which lives in Notion. In a new lemAgent conversation, open Apps and check that Notion is enabled. Ask lemAgent to get the positioning document from Notion and prepare a campaign from it. lemAgent retrieves the document and uses it to build the campaign in lemlist.

Troubleshooting and pitfalls
