Set account limits

How to set sending limits in lemlist for better email deliverability and LinkedIn outreach

TL;DR

To set safe daily outreach limits in lemlist, open Settings from your profile menu, then go to Sending limits. Recommended caps: a new mailbox sends 30–40 emails/day through lemlist per sending address — open at 30. Total daily volume stays under 70 emails/day per email provider, counting lemlist + lemwarm + manual replies. For LinkedIn actions, keep 20 invites/day, 30 visits/day, and 30 messages/day.

Who Should Use This

  • All lemlist users running email or LinkedIn campaigns

  • Anyone concerned about email deliverability and sender reputation

  • Teams needing to prevent LinkedIn account restrictions

  • Users scaling outreach who want to maintain safe volumes

Why This Matters

Setting appropriate limits protects your email deliverability and domain health. Sending too many emails can trigger spam filters and damage your sender reputation, causing future emails to land in spam folders.

For LinkedIn, excessive actions can trigger automated monitoring that may restrict or ban your account. Conservative limits help your activity stay within safer ranges that look natural.

How to Set Account Limits

  1. Click your profile (bottom-left), then select Settings

Open Settings from the profile menu in lemlist

  2. In the left menu, click Sending limits, then set your daily limits for email and LinkedIn using the +/- controls (see recommendations below)

Recommended Limits

Email Sending Limits

Three caps apply, checked in this order. The domain check comes first, then the mailbox phase, then the volume.

  • Domain under one month old: keep the whole domain under 100 emails/day, every mailbox on it combined, then increase gradually

  • Mailbox still in warm-up: 0 cold emails. No campaign starts under a warm-up score of 90, and only after 14 days of stabilization at target volume

  • New mailbox, campaigns live: 30–40 emails/day through lemlist per sending address. Open at 30 and move to 40 once a month of clean sending is behind it

Absolute total ceiling: under 70 emails/day per email provider, counting lemlist + lemwarm + manual replies. A customer answering 15 prospects by hand is using 15 of that budget.

The ceiling is per provider, not per mailbox in isolation: six Google mailboxes share one Google-side reputation, not six independent budgets. Adding sending addresses on the same provider does not give each one a fresh allowance.

These limits help protect deliverability and domain health. Increasing volume too quickly, or keeping it too high, raises the risk of spam classification and sender reputation damage. Between two numbers inside the range, take the lower one — low and stable beats high and aggressive.

LinkedIn Action Limits

  • Connection invites: 20 per day maximum

  • Profile visits: 30 per day maximum

  • Messages: 30 per day maximum

Important: Each action counts separately. 1 visit = 1 action, 1 invite = 1 action, 1 message = 1 action. To reduce restriction risk, avoid sudden spikes and keep daily activity consistent.
