How to connect your email provider to lemlist for sending campaigns

In this guide, you’ll learn how to connect your email provider to lemlist, so you can send all your outreach campaigns using your preferred email address. Let’s walk through the steps to make sure everything is set up correctly!

1️⃣ Access the lemlist Dashboard

  1. Log in to lemlist
    When your email address isn't connected yet, you'll see an option to connect it directly from your lemlist dashboard.

  2. Click on the 'Email' Button
    From the dashboard, locate the 'Email' section and follow the prompts to connect your email provider.

2️⃣ Navigate to Account Settings

  1. Go to Settings
    Click on the profile icon (located in the bottom left corner of your lemlist account) and select Settings from the dropdown menu.

  2. Find Sending Settings
    In the settings menu, go to the Sending Settings section to configure your email provider.

3️⃣ Choose Your Email Provider

  1. Select Your Provider
    lemlist supports a wide range of email providers. If you use Google (Gmail) or Microsoft (Outlook, Office 365), simply choose the corresponding option.

  2. Grant Permissions
    After selecting your provider, log into your account and authorize lemlist to connect to your email provider.

When connecting the Google email, you will need to make sure you allow lemlist to read, compose and send emails from your Gmail account, so be sure to check the box when connecting the address:

4️⃣ For IMAP and SMTP Setup

If your email provider isn't Google or Microsoft, don’t worry! lemlist makes it easy for you to connect through IMAP and SMTP:

  1. Enter Your Domain or Email Address
    Simply enter your email address or domain name. lemlist will automatically retrieve the required server settings for you.

    If your settings aren't added automatically, you can add them by clicking on Advanced settings:

5️⃣ Finalize Your Settings

  1. Add Server Details
    You’ll need to enter your SMTP server address and port number.

  2. Enable SSL
    Ensure that SSL encryption is enabled for security. Then, click Save Changes to complete the process.

Once you’ve completed the above steps, your email address is connected to lemlist, and you’re ready to start sending campaigns!

❗️Important Notes

  • SMTP Providers Not Supported by lemlist
    Unfortunately, the following SMTP providers are not compatible with lemlist:

    • SendGrid

    • Mailgun

    • Sendinblue

    • Mailjet

    • O2switch

    • Amazon SES

    • Postmark

    • Cloudmark

    • HostGator

  • If you’re using one of these providers, you’ll need to choose a different email provider.
