Website Visitors - Google Tag Manager
Updated over a week ago

Hey lemlister!
ā€‹
If you would like to setup the feature Website Visitors using Google Tag Manager - please take a look at the following instructions
ā€‹
Go into the B2B lead database, and click on the āš™ļø of Website visitors

Add a new website.

āš ļø Please, ensure to use https://www.mywebsite.com format

Click on ā€œGenerate codeā€. It will copy the generated script.

Access your Google Tag Manager workspace and click on ā€˜New Tagā€™.

  • Click on ā€˜Tag Configurationā€™ and choose ā€˜Custom HTMLā€™ from the list.

  • Paste the lemlist tracking code you copied in the previous step into the HTML field.

  • Under ā€˜Advanced Settingsā€™, select "Unlimited" from the ā€˜Tag firingā€™ dropdown.

  • Click Choose a trigger to make this tag fire... and select All Pages. Give the tag a name and then click the Save button.

  • Save the Tag and publish it on your website

Now, you can go back into lemlist and add the ā€œCompany that visited my websiteā€ filter.

You now have access to people in companies that visited your website šŸ”„

ā³ Keep in mind it can take up to a few hours to fetch and identify the first visitors. But donā€™t worry, you will receive an in-app notification when first visitors have been identified!

šŸ’”Best practice advice: target people within those companies that fit with your Persona and leverage that high intent potential with a personalized & multichannel approach!
