When an AI column fails for a lead, the cell stays empty. Leads that returned an error, leads that returned nothing, and leads the column never processed all look the same in the table. The AI status filter in the campaign leads table separates them, so you can find these leads without scrolling the whole table.
Limitations
You cannot filter for generations that are currently running or cancelled. That state isn't recorded on the lead.
Like every filter on the leads table, AI status results are cached for 2 minutes. Leads from a generation you just ran may not appear until you refresh the page.
Prerequisites
A campaign with at least one AI column in its leads table.
Filter leads by AI status
Phase 1: Select an AI column in Filters
Open the leads table. Open your campaign and go to its leads table.
Open Filters. Click Filters.
Pick an AI column. In the column list, select the AI column you want to filter on. AI columns are marked with a small blue AI tag.
Phase 2: Choose an AI status
Find the AI status section. Below the usual Value conditions, the AI status section lists five options.
Select an option.
Has an error: every failed generation, including Empty output and Couldn't format.
Empty output: the generation returned nothing.
Couldn't format
Has run
Has not run: the AI column has not run for the lead. This also matches leads added to the campaign after the last generation.
✅ Verify: the leads table shows only the leads that match the selected AI status.
Phase 3: Filter on several AI columns (optional)
Repeat Phase 1 and Phase 2 for another AI column. Each AI column you add narrows the results further.
Example: find out why an AI column has empty cells
Your AI column shows empty cells for some leads. Filter the column by Has an error to see the leads where generation failed. Then change the filter to Has not run to see the leads the column never processed, including leads added after the last generation.
Troubleshooting & pitfalls
Issue: Leads from a generation I just ran don't appear in the results
Root cause: Filter results on the leads table are cached for 2 minutes.
Fix: Refresh the page.
Issue: Has not run shows leads I expected to be generated
Root cause: Leads added to the campaign after the last generation match Has not run.
Fix: Generate the AI column for those leads. See Use AI variables in lemlist.
