Email Toolbar Tools

The toolbar appears in the email editor when composing campaign steps. Here's what each tool does:


Add variables, media, links, and attachments

What it does: The + Add menu groups several insertion tools in one place.

How to use: In your email step, click + Add, then choose the item you want to insert: Add variable, Custom media, Liquid Syntax, Insert Lemcal Link, Add unsubscribe link, Insert Image, or Attach File.

Use this for: Personalization, advanced logic, scheduling links, compliance links, images, and attachments.


Ask AI

What it does: Helps you write or improve copy directly inside the editor.

How to use: Click the Ask AI sparkle icon, then choose what you want help with, such as writing a message, increasing reply rate, improving open rate, boosting deliverability, improving meeting booking rate, fixing grammar, shortening text, or changing tone.

Best for: Rewriting opening lines, improving clarity, and refining calls-to-action.


Deliverability Boost

What it does: Lets you analyze and improve your email's deliverability before sending.

How to use: Click the Deliverability Boost icon in the toolbar, then review the available checks like Content - Copywriting, Content & tech check, and Test - Inbox placement. From there, run the relevant analysis for your email.

Helpful for: Catching spam risks, checking technical issues, and improving inbox placement.


Templates & Snippets

What it does: Opens your saved templates and snippets so you can quickly reuse content.

How to use: Click the Templates & Snippets icon in the toolbar to insert saved content into your email.

Create snippets for: Intros, value propositions, case studies, CTAs, and common closings.


Format text (rich text toolbar)

What it does: Lets you format your email with options like text style, bold, italic, underline, alignment, and more.

How to use: Click the T formatting button to open the formatting toolbar, then apply the formatting options you need.

Keep minimal: Over-styled emails can look spammy. Bold only key phrases when needed.


Insert link

What it does: Adds a clickable hyperlink to your email.

How to use: Highlight the text you want to link, then click the Insert Link icon.

Best practice: Use only a small number of links per email to help reduce spam risk.


Insert signature

What it does: Inserts your saved signature into the email body.

How to use: Place your cursor where you want the signature, then click the Insert Signature icon.

Switch to code view

What it does: Shows the HTML source code for advanced editing.

How to use: Click the Code View icon to switch from the visual editor to HTML editing mode.

For advanced users: Invalid HTML can break email rendering.


Clean code/formatting

What it does: Removes unwanted formatting or problematic code, especially after pasting content from other tools.

How to use: Click the Clean code icon to clean up the current email content.

Use after: Copy-pasting from Google Docs, Word, or web pages.


Quick Tips

Always include: An unsubscribe link, a signature, and at least one personalization variable where relevant.

Test before launching: Send yourself a test email to confirm formatting, links, and layout.

Keep it simple: Minimal formatting, only a few links, and lightweight images or attachments usually perform best.

Use AI and deliverability tools carefully: They can improve performance, but always review the final message before sending.

Clean after pasting: Use the clean tool to prevent hidden formatting issues.
