Local time filter in lemlist ⏰

Learn how to use the local time filter to call or email your leads at the right moment, without worrying about time zone differences.

Updated over a week ago

Hiii lemlister!

The local time filter lets you make sure you contact your leads when they’re most likely available, during their working hours. Instead of guessing time zones, you can now use the filter in the Tasks and Calls section to display leads whose local time matches the hours you choose.

How to set up local time for your leads

  1. Add a Timezone field for each lead.

    • The format is UTC+XX:XX or UTC-XX:XX

    • You can import it via CSV or add it manually when editing a lead

    • You can also enter a location (city, country) as long as it includes the UTC format

2. Once a timezone is set, lemlist automatically calculates the local time for each lead and displays it in the table.

Using the local time filter in tasks and calls

  1. Go to the Tasks or Calls section.

  2. Click on Filters → Timezone.

  3. Choose the time range when you want to reach your leads (for example, 09:00–18:00).

  4. Only the leads whose local time matches that range will be displayed.

This ensures you never end up calling prospects in the middle of the night or sending messages when they’re asleep.

Things to note

  • There is no automatic timezone enrichment for now. You need to add or import the timezone data for your leads manually.

  • The column is currently called Local time in the app (it will be renamed “Timezone” soon for consistency).

  • Bulk updates for timezone are not yet available — import with CSV if you want to update in bulk.

Why use the local time filter?

  • Contact your leads at the right moment (during their working hours).

  • Improve response rates by avoiding messages at odd hours.

  • Save time by filtering only the leads you can contact right now.
