Why this matters
When a lead responds, it shows interest. Continuing to email other leads from the same company can feel impersonal and reduce your chances of success.
Pausing the campaign helps avoid wasting time and email credits on leads who are no longer relevant to your outreach.
Sending emails to multiple leads from the same company after one engages can come across as spammy. This feature helps you maintain a professional approach and protect your brand's reputation.
Once a lead responds, you should focus on personalized follow-ups like scheduling meetings or demos. Pausing the campaign gives your team time to nurture the lead effectively.
How to set it up
Open your campaign and go to Settings.
Click the option to pause the campaign for leads from the same company.
Make sure all leads from the same company have the exact same name in the Company Name field.
Use cases
Personalized client outreach
A B2B company is reaching out to multiple decision-makers in large corporations. After one of the contacts engages, the campaign is paused for the rest to focus on nurturing that lead and increase the chances of closing the deal.
Influencer partnerships
A marketing agency targets different members of an influencer's team. When the manager engages, pausing the campaign ensures no more emails are sent to other members, creating a smoother, more professional conversation.
Product trial offers
A SaaS company offers free trials to various teams in the same company. Once one lead responds, pausing the campaign prevents overwhelming the others, ensuring a smooth onboarding process for the new lead.
