Heeeeey lemlister! 👋

Want to control the speed of your campaign? You can easily adjust the "delay" between each step of your sequence ⏱️.

What is a Delay?

The delay determines how many days lemlist will wait before sending the next message in your campaign.

🤔 How to Set Up a Delay:

  1. Navigate to your campaign: Go to the "Sequence" section of your campaign.

  2. Enter the delay duration: Specify the number of days you want between steps, as shown below.

Important Notes:

  • Delays follow your schedule: Delays count only the sending days you’ve selected in your campaign schedule 📅.

💡 Example:

Let’s say you’ve scheduled emails to be sent on Tuesdays and Thursdays only.

  • You set a 2-day delay between Step 1 and Step 2.

  • If an email from Step 1 is sent on Thursday, the follow-up won’t go out on Saturday. Instead, it will be sent on Tuesday next week.

Here’s why: Day 1 of the delay falls on Tuesday, and Day 2 on Thursday, so Step 2 will be sent on Thursday.

💡 Example 2:

You’ve scheduled emails to be sent only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
You set a 3-day delay between Step 1 and Step 2.

  • If an email from Step 1 is sent on Monday, the next step won’t go out on Thursday (because Thursday isn’t a scheduled sending day).

  • Instead, the follow-up will be sent on Friday, respecting your selected schedule.

💡 Example 3:

Your schedule allows emails to be sent daily except weekends (Monday to Friday).
You set a 1-day delay between Step 2 and Step 3.

  • If Step 2 is sent on Friday, the next message won’t be sent on Saturday or Sunday.

  • Instead, Step 3 will be sent on Monday, the next available sending day.

Fine-tune delays to match your schedule and maintain consistent engagement! ⏳

Control your campaign timing like a pro!
