Heeeey lemlister! 👋
Here are my secret recipes to master your CSV to lemlist imports like a pro.
Together, we'll see how to:
👉 Format your CSV,
👉 Import a Buddy-to-Be from a CSV file,
👉 Solve a CSV import problem.
Let's go for a ride!
1️⃣ Format your CSV
Let's start with basics: your CSV file can include as many columns as you like. Here, you'll find. I made this file to show you how do I do it. Feel free to use it if you'd like to!
2️⃣ Import a Buddy-to-Be from a CSV file
Oh boy, here we go: you're officially about to import a Buddy-to-Be from a CSV file. 🤩
Once you are in the second step of adding a campaign,
Choose the option "Upload a CSV". That's the one you want. 🧐
Then BROWSE YOUR FILES or to simply DRAG & DROP a .CSV file from your desktop or folder.
In your .CSV file, it doesn't matter how you order your columns: lemlist will recognize each variable automatically. (I know, pretty cool, right ?)
If lemlist doesn't recognize the names of your columns - you can map them yourself. 😊
💡 Make sure your .CSV's first row is filled with the name of the column/custom variable you want
💡 You can have as many custom variables you want
For example, you can put a different URL for each client in a column BLOG and put the URL of their blog there. When you'll use i during your campaign, it will display a matching blog screenshot for each of your Buddy.
I didn't plan to let you on your own, so I also recorded you a video to show you the process. 🤗
3️⃣ My CSV is not uploading
Urgh, I hate it when my .CSV takes ages to upload, don't you? But look, here's how you can solve it :
🔹Are you using Safari? If yes - switch to Chrome or another browser.
🔹 Is your browser up to date?
🔹 Are you sure you have email addresses in your CSV, because we will not do anything without them - emails are lemlist IDs
🔹 Once you upload CSV - do you match the fields we give you as options to the ones you have? If not - please do - we will not import it otherwise.
🔹 Be 100% sure this is a pure CSV file. Go to your folder where this file is and check the properties of the file. If it is Excel CSV - we will not import it - please revert it, because seems that your system automatically equals it with Excel.
