Remove seats from your plan

Learn how to remove seats from your team

Updated this week

TL;DR

Remove seats by downgrading lemwarm FIRST, then lemlist. Go to Plans & Billing, click Manage Plan, adjust seat count, and click Update. Downgrading lemlist first triggers immediate lemwarm charges. Prorated credits apply to your next invoice. Takes 5 minutes.

Who Should Use This

  • Team admins reducing team size

  • Agencies offboarding clients or contractors

  • Businesses scaling down outreach operations

  • Anyone looking to reduce monthly billing costs

Why This Matters

The order you downgrade matters. Downgrading lemlist before lemwarm triggers immediate billing for lemwarm because the system links lemwarm billing to lemlist's current seat count.

Following the correct order (lemwarm first, then lemlist) prevents unexpected charges and ensures prorated credits apply correctly to future invoices.

Step 1: Remove Seats from lemwarm (Do This FIRST)

  1. Go to Plans & Billing (click your workspace name in the bottom-left, then select Plans & billing)

Understanding Billing After Downgrade

Prorated credits: After downgrading, your next invoice will include a prorated amount for the unused seat time remaining in your current billing cycle.

Next billing cycle: Starting with your next cycle, you'll pay the reduced amount for your new seat count.

No refunds: Refunds for inactive seats are not issued. Credits apply to future billing only.

Important Warning

⚠️ Do NOT downgrade lemlist before lemwarm. If you downgrade lemlist first, the system will immediately charge you for lemwarm because lemwarm's billing is linked to lemlist's current seat count. You'll receive a warning pop-up, but the charge will still process.

Always verify your subscription type (monthly, quarterly, or yearly) before making changes so you understand how credits and charges will be applied.
