The Companies section in lemlist is your central hub for managing accounts in an account-based prospecting strategy. Located in the left sidebar, it provides full visibility on all interactions your team has had with each company.
What Companies Section Shows
Each company profile displays:
Company details:
Company name
Domain
Industry

LinkedIn profile

Associated contacts:
All people from the company in your database

Filter and Sort Companies
Quickly find companies using filters:
Company name - Search by name
Company domain - Filter by website domain
Industry - Sort by business sector
LinkedIn - Filter by LinkedIn presence
Location - Geographic filters
Custom fields - Filter by region, status, tags, etc.
Owner - Filter by assigned team member
To add a filter, click Filters, then click Add a filter
Then select the filter type you want to use (for example: Company Name, Company Domain, Industry, Location, Size, LinkedIn, Owner, etc.)
Import Companies
Access Import
From the Companies section, click Import new companies
Import Methods
Choose your import source (Companies database, CSV import, or LinkedIn import)
Method 1: Companies database
Use search to look up companies by name
Click to add the company directly to your account
Method 2: Upload CSV File
Prepare a CSV with company data:
Company name (required)
Company domain (recommended)
Industry
Location
Custom fields
Select CSV import
Upload your CSV file (click to upload or drag and drop)
Map CSV columns to lemlist company fields, then click Push to Companies to confirm the import
Best Practices
Use for account-based prospecting - Focus on company-level strategy, not just individual contacts
Assign owners - Designate team members responsible for each account
Review timelines regularly - Check activity before reaching out to coordinate with team
Use custom fields - Tag companies by status, priority, region, or deal stage
Filter strategically - Create views for different account segments (e.g., "High Priority", "Active Deals")
Coordinate with team - Check who's already engaged with the company before making contact
