Fix: LinkedIn or enrichment action failed in lemAgent

Resolve LinkedIn and enrichment action failures in lemAgent by installing the Chrome extension and linking your LinkedIn account.

LinkedIn and enrichment actions in lemAgent require two things to work: the lemlist Chrome extension installed in your browser, and your LinkedIn account linked to lemlist. If either is missing, the action will fail.

Root causes

  • The lemlist Chrome extension is not installed. lemAgent runs LinkedIn and enrichment actions through the extension. Without it, these actions cannot execute.

  • LinkedIn is not linked to lemlist. Installing the extension is not enough — you also need to actively connect your LinkedIn profile to your lemlist workspace.

  • The extension is installed but inactive or disconnected. Browser updates, cookie clears, or logging out of LinkedIn can break the connection even after a successful setup.

Fix 1: Install the Chrome extension

  1. Click Add to Chrome, then Add extension to confirm.

  2. Once installed, make sure you are logged into both lemlist and LinkedIn in the same browser session.

For the full installation walkthrough, see How to install the lemlist Chrome extension.

Fix 2: Link your LinkedIn account to lemlist

Installing the extension and linking LinkedIn are two separate steps. Adding the extension to Chrome does not automatically connect your LinkedIn profile.

  1. Open LinkedIn in your browser.

  2. Click the lemlist extension icon in your browser toolbar.

  3. In the extension sidebar, check that the correct LinkedIn account and lemlist workspace are shown under Current LinkedIn account connected and Current lemlist account connected.

  4. If the accounts are not linked, follow the connection steps in the extension to sync them.

For managing multiple LinkedIn profiles, see Connect and manage multiple LinkedIn profiles in lemlist.

Fix 3: Reconnect if the extension has disconnected

Password changes, cleared cookies, browser updates, or logging out of LinkedIn can break an existing connection. If lemAgent actions were working before and have suddenly stopped:

  1. Open LinkedIn and make sure you are logged in.

  2. Open lemlist in the same browser session and confirm you are logged in.

  3. Open the lemlist extension and verify the connected accounts. If disconnected, re-link your LinkedIn profile.

  4. Return to lemAgent and retry the action.

How to verify the fix worked

After completing the steps above, run the failed action in lemAgent again. A working setup will either complete the action or progress to the next step in the workflow. If the action still fails, contact support and confirm which step in the extension setup you completed.
