View or add a company from LinkedIn, HubSpot, or Salesforce with the Chrome extension

Open the company panel in the lemlist extension side panel on a LinkedIn company page, HubSpot company or Salesforce Account to check if the account is already in lemlist, review its contacts and activities, or save it as a new company.

When you open a LinkedIn company page, a HubSpot company, or a Salesforce Account, the lemlist Chrome extension can show that company in its side panel. If the company is already in lemlist, the full company panel opens with the same tabs as in the app. If it isn't, a preview opens, filled from the page, and you can add the company to lemlist from there.

Limitations

  • The company panel is in beta and is rolling out progressively. It is available only to teams where the beta is enabled.

  • The company panel requires the lemlist Chrome extension version 5.0.18 or later.

  • On HubSpot and Salesforce pages, the company panel requires the Work from CRM option, as for contacts. Without it, the panel shows the upsell instead of the company.

  • Add to HubSpot and Add to Salesforce are disabled unless your team allows the extension to create CRM records.

  • In a preview, only the General tab is active. The Overview, Contacts, Activities and Signals tabs need a saved company.

  • For a company that isn't in lemlist yet, the extension reads the LinkedIn page with your own LinkedIn session, once each time you open the panel. Without a LinkedIn session, the panel shows the empty state.

Prerequisites

  • The lemlist Chrome extension is installed and you are logged in to lemlist. See How to install the lemlist Chrome extension.

  • You are logged in to LinkedIn in the same browser.

  • To use the company panel in HubSpot or Salesforce, your CRM is connected to lemlist.

Phase 1: Open the company panel

  1. Open a LinkedIn company page, a HubSpot company, or a Salesforce Account.

  2. Open the lemlist panel on the right side of the page.

✅ Verify: the panel shows the company. The full company panel opens if the company is in lemlist. A preview opens if it isn't. On a LinkedIn company page, a company that is in lemlist shows Added to lemlist next to its name.

The full lemlist company panel open next to a LinkedIn company page marked Added to lemlist, with the General, Overview, Contacts, Activities and Signals tabs

Phase 2: Work with a company that is already in lemlist

The full company panel has the same tabs as in the app: General, Overview, Contacts, Activities and Signals.

From a LinkedIn company page or a CRM record, you can:

The Contacts tab of the lemlist company panel in HubSpot, with Get suggestions and the Run button above the company's contacts

Phase 3: Add a company that isn't in lemlist yet

  1. Open the company page and the lemlist panel. A preview opens, filled from the page: name, domain, logo, industry, size, location, description and other fields.

  2. Check the fields and edit any that are wrong.

  3. Click Add to lemlist or Save company.

✅ Verify: the company is saved in lemlist, and the Overview, Contacts, Activities and Signals tabs are available.

How the extension finds the company in lemlist

  • On LinkedIn, the extension matches by LinkedIn URL first, then by Sales Navigator URL, then by website domain.

  • On HubSpot and Salesforce, it matches by CRM record ID first, then by domain.

The extension never matches a company by name alone, so a different company with the same name is never linked.

Practical example

You are on the LinkedIn page of a target account and want to know whether your team already works it.

  1. Open the lemlist panel. The full company panel opens, so the company is already in lemlist.

  2. Open the Activities tab to review past activities with the account.

  3. Open the Contacts tab and click Run under Get suggestions to find new people at the company.

Troubleshooting & pitfalls

Issue: The company panel doesn't open on a company page

Root cause: The extension is older than version 5.0.18, or the beta isn't enabled for your team yet.

Fix:

  1. Update the lemlist Chrome extension to version 5.0.18 or later.

  2. Reload the company page and open the lemlist panel again.

  3. If it still doesn't open, the company panel isn't enabled for your team yet.

Issue: The panel shows an upsell on a HubSpot or Salesforce page

Root cause: Your team doesn't have the Work from CRM option.

Fix: The company panel on HubSpot and Salesforce pages needs the Work from CRM option, the same as for contacts.

Issue: Add to HubSpot or Add to Salesforce is disabled

Root cause: Your team doesn't allow the extension to create CRM records.

Fix: Ask a lemlist admin on your team to allow the extension to create CRM records.

Issue: Sales Navigator shows Not added to lemlist for a company that is in lemlist

Root cause: The company is stored in lemlist with its LinkedIn URL but without its Sales Navigator URL.

Fix: Open the lemlist panel. The extension still finds the company.
