Learn how to remove seats from your team

Hey lemlister! 😊

If you need to decrease the number of seats in both lemlist and lemwarm, follow these steps to make sure everything’s updated correctly.

1️⃣ Adjust Seats in lemwarm

  1. Go to "Plans & Billing": In lemwarm, click "Plans & Billing" and then select "Manage Plan".

  2. Choose Payment Type: Decide whether you want a monthly, quarterly or yearly payment plan.

  3. Adjust the Number of Seats: Select the number of seats you want, choose your plan, and click "Update".

Deactivate Unused Seat Access: Before making final adjustments, deactivate any unused seats in the "Settings" section to ensure accurate seat counts and avoid restrictions.

2️⃣ Adjust Seats in lemlist

  1. Go to "Plans & Billing": In lemlist, click on your profile photo in the bottom left corner, then select "Plans & Billing" and "Manage Plan".

  2. Select Payment Type: Choose monthly, quarterly or yearly as your payment plan.

  3. Adjust the Number of Seats: Enter the desired number of seats, choose your plan, and click "Update".

What Happens After You Downgrade?

💡 Prorated Charges: After downgrading, we’ll prorate your next invoice based on the number of seats you’ve reduced. Once the new billing cycle begins, you’ll be charged the new amount for the updated seat count.

For yearly plans, unused amounts are also prorated for the remainder of the annual subscription. For example, if you downgrade mid-year, the prorated amount will adjust future invoices accordingly.

Important Warnings

⚠️ Downgrade Order: If you downgrade the seats in lemlist first, and then in lemwarm, we will charge you immediately for lemwarm. You’ll get a warning pop-up before proceeding.

This happens because the system links lemwarm's billing to lemlist's current seat count. Adjusting lemlist seats first can result in discrepancies that lead to immediate charges for lemwarm.

Be sure to check your subscription type (monthly/quarterly/yearly) before making any changes, so you're aware of the charges!

Refunds: Refunds for inactive seats are not automatically issued, but billing adjustments will ensure no extra costs for future cycles.

Key Takeaways

  • Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly Subscription: Always confirm whether you're on a monthly, quarterly or yearly plan in both lemlist and lemwarm before downgrading to avoid surprises.

  • Single Seat Downgrades: If needed, you can downgrade to just one seat by ensuring that additional seats are deactivated in your account settings. This prevents accidental charges.
