Search for a campaign

How to search to find a specific campaign

Updated over 2 weeks ago

TL;DR

Go to Campaigns, then find campaigns using the Search a campaign… bar or narrow results with filters like Status, Sender, Tags, and Creators. You can also reset everything with Clear all. Takes 30 seconds.

Who Should Use This

  • Anyone managing multiple campaigns simultaneously

  • Team admins overseeing campaigns across multiple team members

  • Agencies tracking campaigns for different clients or projects

Why This Matters

As your campaign library grows, finding the right campaign quickly becomes essential for daily workflow efficiency. Search and filters let you locate specific campaigns in seconds instead of scrolling through long lists, whether you're checking performance, making updates, or coordinating with team members.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Open the Campaigns page

In the left sidebar, click Campaigns. Once you’re on the Campaigns page, you’ll see the search bar and filters at the top of the list.

Step 2: Search for a campaign by name

In the Search a campaign… field, start typing a campaign name to narrow down the list. Partial matches work too (you don’t need the exact name).

Step 3: Filter by campaign status

Click Status: All, then select the statuses you want to display (for example: Draft, In progress, Completed, Paused, In error, or Archived). The list updates automatically based on your selection.

Step 4: Filter by sender

Click Sender: All, then select one or more senders to view only campaigns sent from those accounts.

Step 5: Filter by tags

Click Tags: All, then choose one or more tags to display only campaigns matching those tags.

Step 6: Filter by creator

Click Creators, then select the team member(s) who created the campaigns to filter the list accordingly.

Step 7: Combine filters (and clear them when needed)

You can apply multiple filters at the same time (for example: Status + Sender + Tags + Creators) to narrow results further. To reset your view, click Clear all.

How You'll Know It Worked

✅ The campaign list updates immediately when you apply a search or filter

✅ You see fewer campaigns in the list, matching your selected criteria

✅ Clicking Clear all returns the list to the full view

Practical Application / Real-Life Example

Agency Scenario: A marketing agency manages 150 campaigns across 12 clients with 8 team members.

Daily workflow examples:

Morning check (Client success manager):

  • Filter: Status = In progress + Tags = Client: Acme Corp

  • Result: See only Acme’s active/running campaigns to check performance

  • Time saved: Seconds vs. scrolling through all campaigns

Reassignment (Team admin):

  • A team member is leaving and you need their running campaigns

  • Filter: Sender = Team member + Status = In progress

  • Result: A short list of campaigns to reassign

Template search (New team member):

  • Looking for a specific template/campaign to duplicate

  • Search by name + Filter: Creator = Top performer

  • Result: Find the right campaign quickly and duplicate it

Troubleshooting

Issue: Search returns no results

Root cause: The campaign name doesn’t match what you typed, or filters are restricting the list

Fix:

  • Try shorter keywords or partial terms

  • Clear filters (click Clear all) and search again

  • If you don’t remember the name, use filters like Status, Sender, Tags, or Creators to narrow the list

Issue: Too many results even with filters

Root cause: Filters are too broad or you have many similar campaigns

Fix:

  • Combine multiple filters (for example: Status + Sender + Tags)

  • Use more specific terms in the campaign search bar

  • Use consistent, descriptive tags to segment campaigns better

Issue: No campaigns show up but you believe they exist

Root cause: The filter combination is too restrictive or you’re filtering by the wrong criteria

Fix:

  • Click Clear all, then re-apply filters one at a time

  • Double-check you selected the correct Status, Sender, Tags, or Creators

  • Refresh the page if the list doesn’t update

Tips for Optimization

Name campaigns consistently - Use a convention like “Q1-2025-Industry-Persona” so search works predictably.

Use tags strategically - Apply tags by client, product, region, or campaign type to make filtering fast and reliable.

Archive old campaigns - Keep your active view clean by archiving campaigns you no longer need to work on.

Train the team - Align on naming and tagging conventions so everyone can find campaigns quickly.

Common Filter Combinations

Daily management:

  • Status = In progress → See what’s currently running

  • Status = Paused → See what needs attention

Team coordination:

  • Sender = Team Member + Status = In progress → Review someone’s live workload

  • Creators = Team Member → Find campaigns/templates created by a specific person

Client management (agencies):

  • Tags = Client Name + Status = In progress → Client campaign overview

  • Tags = Client Name + Status = Completed → Historical campaigns for reporting

Troubleshooting issues:

  • Status = In error → Quickly locate campaigns needing fixes

  • Status = Draft + Creators = You → Clean up unfinished work
