We’ve added WhatsApp to your multichannel toolbox, making it easier than ever to connect with leads in a more personal and direct way. If you’re looking to stand out from crowded inboxes, WhatsApp brings real-time conversations to your outreach strategy.
Now, you can manage WhatsApp alongside your emails and LinkedIn steps, all from the same smooth lemlist experience.
Note: WhatsApp is available exclusively on Multichannel Expert and Enterprise plans.
✅ What You Can Do
👉 Connect your WhatsApp account
Easily link your personal WhatsApp account and start sending messages without leaving lemlist.
Step 1: Open your Sending Settings and click “Connect your WhatsApp account.”
Step 2: Follow the on-screen instructions to avoid account risks (e.g., avoid mass sending or non-personalized content).
Step 3: Once verified, you’ll see the confirmation screen.
👉Connect multiple WhatsApp accounts per user
Now you can connect up to 5 different WhatsApp numbers to the same lemlist user. This helps you:
Optimize deliverability scores
Scale outreach across several numbers
Manage everything in one place
Keep in mind: each connected number requires a seat. For example, if you want to connect 5 numbers, you need to buy 5 WhatsApp seats.
This makes it easier for teams warming up several SIMs or managing multiple WhatsApp numbers at once.
👉WhatsApp account health score
Each connected WhatsApp account now gets a health score from 0 to 100. The score reflects the account’s overall condition based on:
Sending patterns
Reply rates
Account age
Stability of new contacts
Potential bans
The score updates daily and helps you see if your account is safe to use for outreach.
You’ll also see risk levels (Danger, Risk, Watch, OK) so you can quickly understand the status. By clicking on the score, you’ll get detailed insights like graphs on message volume, reply rates, new contacts, and score evolution over the last 30 days.
👉Notifications & feedback on disconnections
If your WhatsApp account gets disconnected from lemlist, you’ll now:
Receive a notification inside the app so you know right away
Get an easy flow to reconnect your account
Be able to share feedback on what happened, so we can improve and prevent it in the future
This ensures your campaigns and automations don’t stop unexpectedly and helps reduce the risk of bans.
Here's how to reconnect your WhatsApp account:
You'll get a notification that you're disconnected. There, click on Reconnect my account
Under sending settings, click on Reconnect button next to the disconnected number
A pop-up window will appear where you need to provide your feedback on the disconnection cause. This is required so we can improve and reduce the chance of future disconnections.
After you submit your feedback, the QR code for connection will be generated, and you'll be able to connect again.
👉 Add WhatsApp steps to your campaign
You can include WhatsApp messages as steps in your sequences — just like email or LinkedIn.
Step 4: Add a WhatsApp step in the sequence builder and customize your message.
👉 Track WhatsApp activity in real-time
See message status directly on the lead’s timeline: delivered, seen, or replied.
Step 5: Track replies and interactions directly inside your campaign.

⚠️ Best Practices to Keep Your Account Safe
✅ Personalize each message – Use the lead’s name and company
🚫 Avoid mass identical sends – WhatsApp flags spammy behavior
📉 Don’t add links in your first message – This triggers spam filters
📆 Respect timing – Avoid sending messages at odd hours
🔒 Use a warm WhatsApp account – Established activity builds trust
Subscription details 💵
As a Multichannel Expert or Enterprise client, you can subscribe to the WhatsApp add-on at any time.
The cost is $20/month per seat, and you’ll be charged for the remaining duration of your current subscription cycle until your annual anniversary date.
You're committed to the WhatsApp add-on until your subscription anniversary—just like with email slots.
Using WhatsApp across multiple teams
If you're part of multiple teams, don’t worry. You’ll be able to set up and connect your WhatsApp account for each team individually. Just make sure you’re in the right team view when setting it up.
WhatsApp brings a human and direct layer to your outreach. When used well, it helps you boost your reply rate and connect more personally with your audience.
Give it a go in your next campaign — and start more conversations that convert. 📲
