Heeeeey lemlister! 👋
How To Mark a lead as interested / not interested from your Inbox section?
👉 Manage lead interest directly from your Inbox
In the Inbox section, you’ll find all the prospects who have replied to your emails or LinkedIn messages. From there, you can easily qualify your leads based on their responses. ( 💚 - lead is interested, 💔 - lead is not interested)
✅ Simply click on a lead, and the contact panel will open. Then click on Campaigns and choose whether to mark them as "Interested" or "Not Interested" in a specific campaign. This helps you stay organised and ensures your campaign data stays accurate and actionable.
☝️When a lead is marked as Interested or not Interested, the sequence automatically stops for that prospect. In addition, while marking a lead as "Not Interested" immediately halts the email sequence within a specific campaign, further management steps such as unsubscribing or bulk deletion of the lead may be considered for broader contact restrictions (in other campaigns).
How To Mark a lead as interested / not interested in their lead's file?
➡️ In the lead list of your campaign, start by searching for your lead, then click on their name to open the Contact panel on the right side of your screen:
➡️ Switch to the Campaigns section of the Contact panel and mark lead as interested or not interested in a specific campaign
Why would I mark a lead as interested?
When a lead clicks on your email or sends a reply, it often signals genuine interest in your offer, making them a valuable opportunity for your business.
By marking these leads as "Interested" in the platform, you can better track the success of your outreach and get a clearer picture of how well your campaign is performing.
Why would I mark a lead as not interested?
When a lead replies asking to be removed from your mailing list, it still counts as a reply, boosting your overall reply rate. However, this type of response isn't a positive one and shouldn't be treated as engagement.
By marking these leads as "Not Interested," you’ll keep your data clean and ensure your campaign performance metrics are more accurate and meaningful.
📊 To view and manage leads marked as "Interested" and "Not Interested," go to your campaign’s Overview repots and they'll be shown like this 👇
Keep in mind that marking leads as interested or not interested is irreversible. You can't change it later. However, you can choose what will hapen with the contact or company of the contact in this and all other campaigns.
You have a choice:
For this contact: pause all other active campaigns (if the button is greyed out, it will pause only the current campaign, but leave the rest of the campaigns for the same lead active, if the lead is present in multiple campaigns)
For this company:
Pause this campaign for other leads (from the same company)
Pause all campaigns for all leads (from the same company)
Use AI to mark leads as interested/not interested
In campaign settings, you can enable the option to mark leads as interested or not interested with the help of AI. This means that lemlist AI will analyse lead replies and if it's positive, it will mark the lead as interested. If the reply is negative, the lead will be marked as not interested. This process is automatic, which streamlines the workflow, so there's no need for you to manually mark leads as interested/not interested.
How to Handle Leads Marked as 'Not Interested':

Unsubscribing Leads:
To prevent them from being contacted in any future campaigns, add their emails to the Unsubscribe list.
