What is A/B testing?

"A/B testing a sequence" is creating 2 versions of your sequence in order to find out which one works best. When your campaign is done, check out your metrics and look at what version got you the most replies.

In other words, it helps you figure out what is the most suitable approach for this audience. 😊

🤔 How to do so?

➡️ You first need to create your sequence (= drip campaign) to "A/B test" it.

➡️ Once it's done, at the top right corner, click on "A/B test this sequence". lemlist will automatically duplicate your sequence so you'll have 2 identical ones next to each other.

➡️ You will be asked if you want to completely duplicate the version A to create your version B, or start B from scratch.

➡️ Once your choice is made, you will be left with your entire sequence with and A and a B version that you can edit and personalize as usual.

➡️ Note that you can make your B version completely different not only in terms of content but also in terms of structure!

For example, version A could be: Step 1 email > Step 2 Linkedin Invitation > Step 3 email

and version B could be: Step 1 Linkedin visit > Step 2 Linkedin Invitation > Step 3 email > Step 4 Linkedin private message
