Learning Objective
By the end of this guide, you'll know how to connect lemlist with Pipedrive, create and use a People filter in Pipedrive, import those contacts into a lemlist campaign, and configure optional automation (deal creation + activity sync) and BCC logging.
Why This Matters
Integrating Pipedrive with lemlist lets you launch personalized outreach campaigns directly from your CRM data. Keep your sales workflow in one place, send campaigns to Pipedrive contacts, automatically create deals when prospects engage, and sync email activity back to Pipedrive. This reduces manual data entry and helps keep your CRM accurate.
Prerequisites
Before you start:
Active lemlist account
Active Pipedrive account with admin access
Pipedrive contacts (People) ready to contact
What the Integration Does
Import contacts into campaigns - Bring Pipedrive People into a lemlist campaign using a Pipedrive filter
Sync activities - Log lemlist activities back into Pipedrive
Auto-create deals (optional) - Create deals automatically when a lead is marked interested or when tasks are created
BCC logging (optional) - Add a BCC address so emails sent from lemlist can be logged in your CRM
Step 1: Connect lemlist to Pipedrive
Open Integrations and start the Pipedrive connection
In lemlist, click your profile (bottom-left), then click Settings
In the left sidebar, click Integrations, then find Pipedrive and click Connect
Follow the on-screen prompts to log in to Pipedrive and approve the connection.
Note: Only one CRM can be linked to your lemlist account at a time.
Step 2: Prepare Leads in Pipedrive (recommended)
If you want tight control over who gets imported, create a dedicated segmentation method (for example, a custom field or label) and use it in a Pipedrive filter.
Option A (common): Create a custom field for segmentation
In Pipedrive, go to your data field settings.
Create a custom field used to flag contacts for a specific lemlist campaign (example value:
tolemlistcampaign).Populate that field on the People you want to import.
Purpose: This makes it easy to build a reusable filter that lemlist can import from.
Step 3: Create a People filter in Pipedrive
Go to People
Open the Filters menu
Select or create the filter you’ll use for lemlist
From the Filters list, select an existing filter or click Add new filter and build your conditions (for example, using the custom field you created in Step 2)
Critical: Your filter must be created under People (Persons) in Pipedrive (not Organizations), otherwise it may not appear in lemlist.
Step 4: Import Pipedrive People into a lemlist campaign
Start the import from your campaign
Open your lemlist campaign and go to the Lead list tab, then click Import new leads
In the import modal, select the CRM import tab
Select Pipedrive, then click Continue with Pipedrive
Select the Pipedrive account and filter
Choose the Pipedrive account you want to use
Select the connected Pipedrive account from the dropdown
Click the Pipedrive filter dropdown
Select the filter you created in Pipedrive
(Optional) Enable Automatically pause lead(s) in lemlist when they no longer match Pipedrive filter, then click Continue
Choose enrichment options (optional)
On the next step, you can choose enrichment features (these may consume credits), then confirm the import
Adding Leads to an Existing Campaign (refresh the import)
If you keep adding People to the same Pipedrive filter, you can pull new matches into the campaign later.
Step 5: Set Up Deal Automation (Optional)
Once leads are in your campaign, you can configure CRM triggers so lemlist can create items in Pipedrive automatically.
In your campaign, click the Settings (gear icon), then select CRM integration, and configure the Triggers in Pipedrive (for example, creating deals based on lead interest or task creation)
How it works: When a lead meets the trigger condition in lemlist, lemlist sends the corresponding action to Pipedrive.
Step 6: Enable Activity Tracking (Optional)
Activity sync helps keep Pipedrive updated with what’s happening in lemlist (for example, outreach activity and engagement).
In the same campaign CRM integration settings area, enable the option to add/sync activity from lemlist into Pipedrive
Step 7: Sync Emails with BCC (Optional)
To log emails via BCC, paste your CRM’s BCC email address into lemlist.
In lemlist, go to Settings > Integrations and enter the BCC email address in the BCC email address field, then click Confirm
Result: Emails sent from lemlist can be logged in your CRM via BCC (depending on your CRM’s BCC setup).
Best Practices
Use descriptive filter names - So it’s easy to pick the correct filter during import
Always build filters under People - lemlist imports from Pipedrive People filters
Test with a small segment first - Import a handful of leads to validate your filter and data
Use enrichment strategically - Some enrichment options consume credits; only enable what you need
Refresh regularly - If your Pipedrive filter is “live,” use Refresh now to pull in newly-matching People
Troubleshooting
Can't find my Pipedrive filter in lemlist
Fix: Confirm the filter is created under Contacts > People (not Organizations). Then retry the CRM import flow.
Leads not importing
Fix: Check that the Pipedrive filter actually returns People in Pipedrive. If you used a custom field for segmentation, verify it’s populated for those People.
Wrong leads imported
Fix: Review the filter conditions in Pipedrive and make sure the selected filter in lemlist matches the intended one.
Activities not syncing to Pipedrive
Fix: Open the campaign Settings > CRM integration and verify activity sync is enabled. Also confirm the Pipedrive connection is still authorized.
Deals not auto-creating
Fix: Verify the correct triggers are enabled in Settings > CRM integration for the campaign.
BCC emails not appearing in my CRM
Fix: Confirm you pasted the correct BCC address (no extra spaces) and clicked Confirm in lemlist. Then verify your CRM’s BCC feature is configured to accept and log those messages.
