Hiya lemlister 👋
One of the most important actions you can take to protect your email deliverability and maintain domain health is by setting appropriate sending limits in your lemlist account. By doing so, you can ensure that you’re not sending too many emails or performing excessive actions on LinkedIn, which could negatively affect your outreach results.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to set your own limits for both emails and LinkedIn outreach within lemlist.
1️⃣ Go to Account Settings
Log in to your lemlist account.
In the bottom-left corner, click on your profile icon and select Settings from the dropdown menu.
2️⃣ Navigate to the 'Limits' Section
In the Settings menu, click on the Sending Limits tab to access the sending limits options.
Here, you can define the maximum number of actions for both emails and LinkedIn within a 24-hour period.
Email Sending Limits
Max. number of emails: Set a daily cap on how many emails you send using lemlist to help maintain healthy email deliverability.
Reminder 💡
We recommend sending no more than 100 emails per day per sending address in order to protect your deliverability and domain health!
LinkedIn Outreach Limits
Max. number of LinkedIn invites, messages, visits, and profile scans: Set limits to ensure you don’t exceed a healthy outreach volume on LinkedIn, avoiding account restrictions or bans. These actions include connection invites, profile visits, and messages, each requiring their own respective limits to remain compliant and avoid triggering LinkedIn's activity monitoring algorithms.
As for LinkedIn, we suggest adhering to stricter limits to minimize risks. Specifically:
20 connection invites per day
30 profile visits per day
30 messages per day.
This ensures compliance with LinkedIn's activity guidelines and reduces the likelihood of account restrictions.
Remember that:
1 visit = 1 action
1 invite = 1 action
1 message = 1 action
Monitoring LinkedIn Account Safety
LinkedIn monitors account activity using sophisticated algorithms designed to detect unusual behaviour patterns. These include sudden spikes in activity or deviations from typical, natural usage. For instance, prolonged inactivity followed by consistent daily actions might attract scrutiny. To prevent such risks, ensure your activity remains steady, adheres to suggested limits, and reflects human-like behaviour.
Setting these sending limits is a simple yet highly effective strategy to keep your email inboxes healthy and your LinkedIn account in good standing. By avoiding over-sending, you’ll see improved deliverability, better engagement, and fewer chances of being flagged as spam.
