Typically, when replies were not tracked, it's likely due to using a Gmail alias for sending emails without setting up forwarding to receive responses back from the alias.
The issue occurs when the email is only present in the alias mailbox.

Other reasons why replies have not been tracked:
The responses were automated replies.
It has not been more than 30 minutes since the reply landed in your inbox.
The reply has not remained in your inbox and has been deleted or relocated to a different folder.
