The Purpose of the Task Section and How to Effectively Manage It ๐Ÿš€

Want to save time and stay on top of your multichannel sequences? The Tasks section is designed to help you do just that.

Updated this week

Where to find it?

Youโ€™ll find the Tasks section listed on the left-hand side of your lemlist dashboard, within the Main Menu.๐Ÿ”ฝ

What is the Tasks section for?๐Ÿค”

The Tasks section gathers all the actions needed to properly continue your sequences โ€” manual tasks, calls, and integrations linked to your leads.

You can choose to view:
โœ”๏ธ All tasks
โœ”๏ธ Filtered tasks based on the channel (email, LinkedIn, calls)
โœ”๏ธ Filtered tasks based on time (due, upcoming, all)
โœ”๏ธ Or apply more detailed filters like lead data, task source, and more

How do tasks get created?

Tasks are automatically generated when your sequence reaches a step that requires:
๐Ÿ“ž Calling a prospect
๐Ÿ“ Performing a manual task (e.g., commenting on a LinkedIn post)

From the Editor section, you can also set tasks to trigger when:
โœ… A prospect clicks on a link in your email
โœ… A prospect replies to your email or LinkedIn step

Ability to Choose Whether to Engage with a Task

Previously, every task had to be completed, which could be confusing โ€” especially for reporting purposes or if you wanted to skip a task. Now, you have full control to ignore a task if itโ€™s no longer relevant.๐Ÿš€

Bulk Actionsโœจ

You can now manage multiple tasks at once using bulk actions. From the bulk menu, select several tasks and choose to Do or Ignore them all at once. A confirmation modal will appear, informing you how many tasks will be impacted and if the sequence will stop for those leads.

History Access

You can now view Skipped and Completed tasks directly within the Task Manager. This gives you full visibility on whatโ€™s been done, whatโ€™s been ignored, and helps you keep your outreach organized.
