Heeeey lemlister! 👋
To better engage with your leads, it's essential to diversify the channels in your sequences. Incorporating a variety of touch points - such as email, LinkedIn actions, calls, and manual tasks - can significantly improve your outreach strategy and results.
What is a manual task?
Manual tasks are custom actions that you add to your campaign sequence manually. These are tasks that lemlist cannot automate, like "commenting on a prospect’s LinkedIn post", but they are still important for advancing your campaign.
When a prospect reaches a step involving a manual task, lemlist will create a reminder so you don't forget to complete the action. This ensures that your campaign continues without interruption.
How to Set Up and Manage Manual Tasks:
Add a manual task to your campaign
Assign the task to the lemlist teammate of your choice.
Title the task to clearly define its purpose.
Add detailed instructions to remind yourself of the task's specifics.
Include a URL shortcut (using custom variables if needed) to personalize the task for each lead.
How to manage your tasks?
Keep track of your manual tasks by visiting the Tasks section in your lemlist dashboard.
This will show you all the actions you need to complete to keep your campaign on track.
Once you’ve completed a task, you can decide whether to continue the sequence or stop for that lead by selecting one of the following options:
"Done": Click this if the task is complete but you want the sequence to continue (e.g., if you called your lead but they didn’t answer).
"Interested" (❤️) or "Not Interested" (👎): Click these buttons if you want to stop the campaign for the lead.
Example of a Multichannel Sequence:
Try this sample sequence to enhance your outreach:
DAY 1: LinkedIn visit
DAY 2: LinkedIn message
DAY 4: 1st email
DAY 5: Comment on LinkedIn post
DAY 7: Call
DAY 9: 2nd email
